Michael Weintraub is an assistant professor of political science at Binghamton University (SUNY). Weintraub’s research focuses on armed group behavior in civil war – especially in Colombia, where he conducted ten months of fieldwork – and electoral mechanisms in divided societies. He has articles published or forthcoming in Conflict Management and Peace Science, Terrorism and Political Violence, the Journal of Theoretical Politics, and Critical Review.
